- What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for developing a beauty product in Korea?
- It depends on the product format. Basic skincare typically starts from 5,000–10,000 units. General patch products start from 30,000 pieces, and custom printed eye patches from 30,000–50,000 pairs. Hydrogel eye patches are usually packed 30 pairs per jar, with an MOQ of 5,000 jars. Hydrogel face masks start from 35,000–80,000 sheets, and sheet masks from 50,000–100,000 sheets. One thing worth knowing: patches and masks are produced as individual pieces or pairs and then packed into retail sets, so the production quantity and the number of finished retail products aren't the same — 5,000 jars at 30 pairs each is 5,000 finished retail products. These are the practical minimum production quantities required by Korean manufacturers, not a B4 LAB policy. Final quantities are confirmed by scope.
- Why can't I order only a few hundred units?
- Korean OEM/ODM production is built around commercial manufacturing runs. Raw materials, containers, filling, printing and packaging each carry their own minimum production quantities, and these are set by the suppliers rather than by us. For this reason, custom production below the standard MOQ is usually not commercially feasible through standard Korean OEM/ODM manufacturing.
- How long does cosmetic product development and manufacturing take in Korea?
- After a sample is approved, production typically runs about 4–8 weeks to finished goods. Packaging and bulk formula are produced in parallel — roughly 2–4 weeks each — followed by filling, assembly and QC, then export. The earlier development and sampling stage varies by formula and packaging, so we set a realistic schedule for your specific product at the start.
- Who can help me with private label cosmetics in Korea?
- We develop private label and own-brand products end to end — skincare, masks, color, sun care and specialty patches — with commercial MOQs and packaging options designed to keep early inventory risk low.

- Can one company manage my entire product launch in Korea?

- My current Korean factory can't make the product I want next. What are my options?
- You don't have to start over or drop your current setup. We can add the right manufacturing partner for that specific product alongside what you already use — expanding your network rather than rebuilding it — and manage the new line for you.
- Who is responsible for the EU Responsible Person (RP)?
- An EU-based Responsible Person is required before a cosmetic product can be placed on the EU market. B4 LAB can coordinate with regulatory partners where applicable, but the appointment and contractual responsibility of the RP remain with the importer or brand owner.
- Are certification and regulatory documents included?
- Factory certification documents can be provided on request at the appropriate stage of the project, at no additional charge where available. Product-specific regulatory documentation — including PIF, CPSR, stability testing and challenge testing — is quoted separately according to the target market and final product specifications.
- Do you charge for samples?
- Yes. Sample costs vary depending on the product type, formula complexity, packaging requirements and testing scope, with shipping billed separately. The sample fee is credited toward your first production order.
