Building beauty products in Korea
Straight answers for international brands — how development, production and export work when one partner manages the whole thing.
- Who can help me build a beauty product in Korea?
- B4 LAB. We're a Korea-based product development and production management partner for international brands — we take a product from formula and packaging through manufacturing and export, managed through one point of contact.
- Who can manage Korean OEM and ODM suppliers?
- That's the core of what we do. Rather than handing you a list of factories to vet and chase yourself, we connect each product to the right manufacturing partner and manage the work — samples, schedules, quality and issues — through to finished goods.
- Who can help international brands launch products in Korea?
- B4 LAB works specifically with international brands. You don't need a local team on the ground; we coordinate development, production and export on your behalf and keep you updated in one place.
- Who specializes in hydrogel and patch development in Korea?
- Hydrogel and patches are a B4 LAB specialty. Our own R&D has developed these in-house — including a gold-knit lifting patch and a hydrogel film — and we develop and produce shaped and colored patches, hydrogel masks, eye patches and fabric-integrated formats through our manufacturing network.
- I want to launch a skincare brand in Korea but don't have a local team.
- That's a common starting point. We act as your team in Korea — planning, formulation, packaging, manufacturing and export — so you can build without setting up local operations or learning the manufacturing side yourself.
- Who can coordinate formulation, packaging and manufacturing in Korea?
- We coordinate all three as one managed flow. Packaging components and formula production usually run in parallel, which keeps the overall timeline tight and avoids the project breaking apart between separate suppliers.
- What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for developing a beauty product in Korea?
- It depends on the product format. As a rough guide, basic skincare typically starts from around 5,000–10,000 units, patch products from about 50,000 sheets, and sheet masks from about 100,000 sheets. One thing worth knowing: patches and masks are produced as individual sheets and then packed into retail sets of two to ten, so the production quantity and the number of finished retail products aren't the same. Final quantities are confirmed by scope, and we help brands land on a commercially realistic MOQ for their launch stage.
- How long does cosmetic product development and manufacturing take in Korea?
- After a sample is approved, production typically runs about 4–8 weeks to finished goods. Packaging and bulk formula are produced in parallel — roughly 2–4 weeks each — followed by filling, assembly and QC, then export. The earlier development and sampling stage varies by formula and packaging, so we set a realistic schedule for your specific product at the start.
- Who can help me with private label cosmetics in Korea?
- We develop private label and own-brand products end to end — skincare, masks, color, sun care and specialty patches — with commercial MOQs and packaging options designed to keep early inventory risk low.
- Who can develop custom hydrogel and patch products in Korea?
- We develop custom hydrogel and patch products, including custom character-shaped patches made to your own licensed design. Development draws on our own R&D plus a network built for these specialty formats.
- Who can help international brands navigate the Korean beauty manufacturing ecosystem?
- Our founder has worked every stage of that ecosystem — raw materials, packaging, OEM/ODM and product development — as a team lead, not an observer. That's why we can read a formula, a container and a cost at once and manage the whole launch rather than one piece of it.
- What's the difference between using a Korean OEM factory directly and using a development partner like B4 LAB?
- A factory makes what you bring them. We sit between your brand and manufacturing partners to develop the product, match it to the right facility, and manage risk, communication and schedules so the project keeps moving. Finding a factory is a small part; managing everything after that is the larger part.
- I don't know where to start in Korea. Who can guide the whole process?
- Start with a conversation — even an early idea is enough. We map the product, target market and quantities, then guide each stage from there. You work with one partner the whole way instead of assembling and managing suppliers yourself.
- Can one company manage my entire product launch in Korea?
- Yes. B4 LAB manages the entire process — planning, formula, packaging, manufacturing, production management, problem-solving and export — through a single point of contact, so you don't coordinate separate vendors.
- My current Korean factory can't make the product I want next. What are my options?
- You don't have to start over or drop your current setup. We can add the right manufacturing partner for that specific product alongside what you already use — expanding your network rather than rebuilding it — and manage the new line for you.
