Case Studies
Projects others found difficult
Most brands don't come to us to make something simple. They come when a format is hard to
produce, a project has stalled, or a launch needs one team to hold it together. Here is how
a few of those went.
Client names and product images are omitted as a matter of confidentiality. The focus here
is the development and production challenge behind each launch.
01 US patch brand
Custom-shaped hydrogel & holographic patches
Challenge The brand had already sampled its holographic patches in Korea, but maintaining a stable holographic finish at production scale proved difficult. Decorative patches are deceptively hard — the print, the foil and the hydrogel layer all have to hold together through wear, and not every line is built for it.
What we managed - Reworked the patch construction so the holographic finish stayed bonded
- Matched the product to a facility set up for printed and shaped patches
- Ran sampling to a stable, low-reject result before committing to production
- Managed production and export through to finished goods
Outcome The product reached stable production and launched, and the brand has since placed repeat orders.
02 European beauty brand
Skincare & essence development
Challenge The brand had a clear product direction, but turning the concept into a production-ready product needed closer coordination between formula development and manufacturing than it had so far. They wanted someone to take the formula and the manufacturing side off their plate.
What we managed - Reviewed the target formula and what was realistic to produce at scale
- Matched the product to the right certified manufacturing partner
- Coordinated formula, packaging and production as one managed flow
- Handled export so the brand didn't need a team on the ground
Outcome The product moved from a stalled project to a completed launch, managed through a single point of contact.
03 Southeast Asian beauty brand
Essence & lipstick launch
Challenge The brand came to Korea to find a development partner directly — meeting in person before starting. The launch spanned two different product categories at once, and needed a partner who could coordinate separate development and production tracks under a single timeline.
What we managed - Planned essence and color cosmetics development together from the start
- Matched each category to a facility suited to it
- Kept both timelines aligned so the launch stayed on one schedule
- Managed production and export across both products
Outcome Both products were developed and launched, with the brand working through one partner across categories.
We keep our clients' and partners' names confidential as a matter of course. If you'd like to
discuss a specific project or references, we can talk through it directly.
